Sick humour or spot on?

UPDATE!

Yesterday WWF denied all aligations regarding the horific print ad, but today it seems that both WWF and the Brasilian agency behind the ad have come forward and now acknowledges the ad. They agree, that is was a mistake and should’ve never been produced or published – this was a concequence of poor management, they state.

Now, a spin-off have already been produced and published on YouTube, as a video-version of the ad. YouTube have blocked this video due to copyright claims, but for the moment it’s still available at Dailymotion.com. However, WWF and the agency says, this video has nothing to do with them.

9/11 was nothing compared to the amount of people who died as a result of the Tsunami!
At least not if you ask the World Wildlife Fund on their latest print ad initiative diplaying Manhattan being attacked by hundreds of airplanes. The provocative ad was created by DDB BRASIL advertising agency for WWF Israel.

The copy states: ”The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve it.

For the record; I think it’s taking creative art too far.
